Campaign for America's Mental Health
The Mental Health Association of Franklin County is very excited to be a part of the Campaign for America's Mental Health, a program of the National Mental Health Association. The program is aimed at raising awareness that mental illnesses are real, common and treatable and ensuring that those most at-risk for depression and anxiety disorder receive proper, timely and effective treatment. Through public education and outreach to primary care providers, the Campaign seeks to increase the number of Americans who receive treatment for mental illness and to improve the manner in which mental illnesses are detected and treated in primary care settings.

What will the campaign include?

  • Targeted educational programs
  • Year-round and on-line mental health screenings
  • Promotion of mental health assessments as a routine part of care
  • Advocacy to improve access to care
  • Follow-up information/referrals
  • Media outreach
