When Kids Worry: Childhood Anxiety Disorders
 | Please join us for our annual children mental health community program! This event is for mental health consumers, family members, clinicians and the general public. General registration is $5.00, and $10.00 for those wanting CEU credits. ADAMH Scholarships are available.

We attend a variety of health fairs. Please call us at 614-221-1441 if you would like to know more about our schedule or would like to invite us to participate in your event.
We would be glad to speak to your group. The following are some of the programs and presentations available through MHAFC. If you are interested in arranging a speaker on any of the topics listed below, please call us at 614-221-1441 or click here to request more information. We would appreciate at least three to four weeks notice to schedule a speaker. However, exceptions can be made in emergencies. Below are some of the topics available: - Anxiety Education and Screenings:
Each program is 45 minutes to one-hour in length using a video, handouts and opportunity for anxiety screening if time permits. Screenings are also available as part of a health fair exhibit.
- Understanding Anxiety Disorders:
We provide a general presentation or this program can be customized to emphasize one of the five anxiety disorders: general anxiety disorder, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, post traumatic stress disorder or social phobia.
- Depression Education and Screenings:
Each program is 45 minutes to one-hour in length using a video, handouts and opportunity for screening for depression if time permits. Screenings are also available as part of a health fair exhibit. Following are depression topics we offer: - Depression: General Information

Who We Are and What We Do: General agency presentation, 15-30 minutes in length.
- The Myths of Mental Illness:
A 30-45 minute presentation on major mental illnesses: schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and major depression. Common misconceptions and facts about mental illness are discussed.
- De-Stress Your Life:
Work/Life Balance in Uncertain Times: 45 minute to one-hour presentation on general stress management. Includes personal stress management plan and relaxation exercise.

Campaign for America's Mental HealthMental Health America of Franklin County is very excited to be a part of the Campaign for America's Mental Health, a program of our national affiliate, Mental Health America. The program is aimed at raising awareness that mental illnesses are real, common and treatable and ensuring that those most at-risk for depression and anxiety disorder receive proper, timely and effective treatment. Anxiety Disorders Education and ScreeningDo you think you may have an anxiety disorder? Free anxiety screenings are held each year on Anxiety Screening Day, usually the first week of May. Mental Health America of Franklin County is a campaign site to coordinate and promote free anxiety disorders screenings year round at health fairs and community events. We can provide an exhibit and screenings at your event.
