Scholarships

Mental Health America of Franklin County administers scholarships for both the Franklin County Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board and the Ohio Department of Mental Health.

• Statewide Scholarships (from ODMH)
• Statewide Grants for Technical Assistance (from ODMH)

Scholarships from the Franklin County ADAMH Board

Scholarships are available for Franklin County residents with a mental illness or drug/alcohol addiction, or for their immediate family members.

These scholarships are used to attend an event related to mental health, alcohol and drug, cultural awareness, or health/wellness concerns.

Scholarships from the Ohio Dept. of Mental Health

• Scholarship funds are awarded to individuals to attend workshops and conferences to enhance their leadership skills and knowledge of mental health issues.
• The goal of these funds is to assist individuals and groups to develop the leadership and advocacy skills needed to effectively participate in the planning and development of mental health policies and services.
• We provide Scholarships to clients and family members, both individuals and groups/organizations.
• Potential recipients must complete an application process and meet the eligibility criteria.

Grants from the Ohio Dept. of Mental Health

If you live in Ohio and are a mental health client or family member, you may be eligible for a Technical Assistance (TA) grant. Mental Health America of Franklin County administers the technical assistance funds allocated by the Ohio Department of Mental Health.

• TA grants are awarded to mental health client and family groups for the purpose of group development, education and skill building.
  
• The goal of these funds is to assist individuals and groups to develop the leadership and advocacy skills needed to effectively participate in the planning and development of mental health policies and services.
• We provide TA grants to clients and family members, both individuals and groups/organizations.
• Potential recipients must complete an application process and meet the eligibility criteria.
